The Belding Banner, Thursday, November 27, 1969


Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Huffman Funeral Home 
for Mrs. Grace Geneva Hartman, 73, of 216 Vincent Street.  Rev. Ross Tracy 
officiated.  The Belding Chapter of Blue Star Mothers conducted special 
services Monday evening.  Interment was at River Ridge Cemetery.  Bearers were 
Earl VanOcker, Carl Schutte, Ernest Thomas and James, Robert and Larry Hartman.

Mrs. Hartman died Saturday at Grand Rapids Osteopathic Hospital.  She was born 
October 12, 1896 at Ledgeville, Brown county, Wisconsin, the daughter of Martin 
L. and Sarah E. (Mayville) Beaulieu.  She was married to Charles Winkworth who 
died in 1949 and Howard Hartman who preceded her in death in 1965.

A former assembler at Gibson Products Corporation, Mrs. Hartman was a member of 
United Methodist Church., Blue Star Mothers, VFW Auxiliary, Royal Neighbors and 
Loyal Birthday Club.

Survivors include a son Francis Winkworth of Belding and a sister Mrs. Myrtle 
Bloome of Florence, Wisconsin.
