Ionia Sentinel Standard, 4 May 1982

Winston L. Hartman, 53, 200 Summitt St., Muir, died Monday at home.  He was born
Jan. 22, 1929 in Owosso to Milo and Gladys Hartman.  He attended Lyons High
School, and married Wilma Cribbs in June 1947.  They lived in the Muir area, and
he worked as a foreman for Williams Bros. Construction Co.

Survivors include his wife; his mother, Gladys Hartman of Muir; three sons,
Brett and Joseph of Muir and Craig of Ionia; three daughters, Vicky Melvin,
Wendy Brownell and Thresa Edwards, all of Muir; three brothers, Richard and
Larry of Ionia and Donald of Belding; three sisters, Gwendlyn Howard, Ruth
Whittington and Judy Lemke, all of Muir; and six grandchildren.  Two sisters
preceded him in death.  

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Muir Presbyterian Church
with The Rev. Howard McDonald officiating.  Burial will be in the Muir Cemetery.
 He will repose until Wednesday at noon in the Hull Memorial Chapel in Muir.
