Rev. Kenneth Harger will officiate and interment will be at the Saranac Cemetery. Mr.Hartman died Sunday evening at the Belding Community Hospital. Born in Netherlands December 19, 1910, he was the son of Mr.ad Mrs.Herman Hartman. June 2, 1930, he was married in Kalamazoo to Jacoba VanDalen and lived in Kalamazoo from 1930 to 1946 where he was employed at the Kalamazoo State Hospital. In 1946 they moved to Ionia and he was employed at the Michigan Reformatory and Michigan training unit retiring in 1972. They moved to Saranac in 1964. He was a former member of the Ionia Elks Lodge. Surviving besides his wife, Jacoba, are three daughters, Mrs.Maude Hansen of Arlington, Texas, Mrs.Eileen Smith and Mrs.Jackie Wilbur of Ionia; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brother, Herman Hartman of Kalamazoo and sister, Mrs.Johanna Owen of California.
