Harry S. Hartman, 71, a resident of 561 Conkey Drive, Woodard Lake, died 
Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Ionia County Memorial hospital.  He had 
been a patient there three days.  He was born February 21, 1886 at 
Chambersburg, Penn.  He was employed for many years in the gas division of the 
Consumers Power Co. and of late has been living in retirement.

For the past 11 years he had make his home near Woodard lake and previous to 
that lived at Roseville for 38 years.  He was a member of  Ionia Lodge No. 36, 
F&AM.  

Besides his wife, Blanche, he is survived by two sons, Harry B. Hartman of 
Roseville, and Harold K. Hartman of Orleans; one brother, John Hartman of 
Moline, Ill.; two sisters, Carrie and Catherine of Chambersburg, Penn., and 
three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10 o’clock at the Phelps 
funeral chapel with the Rev. Heath Goodwin officiating.  Interment will be in 
Cadillac Memorial Gardens at Frasier near Detroit.  Members of the family will 
be at the Phelps funeral chapel Saturday and Sunday evening form 7 to 9 
o’clock and Sunday afternoon from 3 to 5.
