Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 5 Nov 1934

Mrs. Elsie Wobrock Hartwell, 32 years of age, wife of Tyle Hartwell, died at a 
hospital in Detroit early Sunday morning.  Mr. Hartwell was formerly of 
Saranac, but is now employed as an undertaker in Detroit.  They were married 12 
years ago, and Mrs. Hartwell has been sick with tuberculosis for the past seven 
years.  She is survived by her husband and one brother, Walter Wobrock, of 
Detroit.  Funeral services will be conducted at 8 o’clock Monday evening in 
Detroit with a short prayer service at the Saranac cemetery Tuesday noon, where 
interment will be held.
