HARTWELL SARANAC - Funeral services for Thomas O. ,95, Saranac's oldest citizen, will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at Morris Funeral Home with the Rev. Glenn McCarty officiating. Mr. Hartwell, a retired farmer died at his home on Main street where he has resided for the last 42 years. He was born December 12, 1860 in Berlin Township and operated a farm there until his retirement. His wife, the former Nora Otis, died in 1947. He was a life member of the Boston F and A.M. No. 146 Masonic Lodge, the White Shrine of Ionia and the O.E.S. of Saranac. Surviving are three sons, Tyler and Ward of Detroit and Maurice of Frankfort,Ind.; one daughter, Mrs.Lucille Weber of Houghton Lake; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Graveside services will be under the auspices of the Masonic Lodge and interment will be at Saranac Cemetery. Additional Comments: Saranac Cem.
