Ionia County News, 5 Jun 1947

Mrs. Nora Hartwell was born June 2, 1873 in Berlin township and passed away at
the residence June 2, at 12:30.  She was the daughter of the late Amon and
Cynthia Otis.  She leaves her husband, Tomas, three sons, Tylee and Ward, of
Detroit, and Morris of Frankfort, Indiana, one daughter, Mrs. Lucille Weber of
Houghton Lake, one sister, Mrs. Sarah Swain of Saranac and three grand children.
 She was a member of Valley Chapter, OES, Past Matron, Past President of the
County Association of the OES, Past president of the Saranac Literary Club, a
member of the Congregational Church and of the White Shrine of Ionia.  Her
funeral was held from the Community Church Wednesday at 2:00 with burial in the
Saranac Cemetery.  Rev. Glenn McCarty was the officiating minister.
