Portland Review, June 1998

Donna L. Hartwick, 75, of Portland died June 2, 1998.  She was born in Danby 
Township Jan. 5, 1923, the daughter of Floyd and Cecile (Goodemoot) Erdman.  
Mrs. Hartwick was a WWII veteran, serving with the United States Navy, and a 
member of the Portland VFW Post #4090 Ladies Auxiliary.

Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Theron J.; several grandchildren and 
great-grandchildren; and half-sister, Charlene (Jack) DeHaan of Grand Haven.

Services were held June 5 at the Gorsline-Runciman Neller Chapel in Portland, 
with the Rev. Jim Howard of First Baptist Church of Pewamo officiating.  
Interment followed at Danby Township Cemetery.  Memorial services were also 
held by the VFW Portland Post #4090 Ladies Auxiliary June 4.  Contributions may 
be made to the American Heart Association, 271 Woodland Pass, Suite 110, East 
Lansing, MI 48823 or the American Lung Association, 403 Seymour Ave., Lansing, 
MI 48933-1179.
