Ionia Sentinel, March 1972

Mrs. Edna Hartwick, 76, of Rt. 3, Portland, died March 21 at Lansing General 
Hospital.  She was born on August 1, 1895 in Yale and was a member of 
Friendbrook Extension Club.

Surviving are her husband, Peter; four sons, Orville, Theron, and Melvin, all 
of Portland, and Alton of Kalamazoo; one daughter, Mrs. Irene Barrus of 
Stanton; 16 grand children; 5 great grand children; 2 brothers, Iler Thompson 
of Saginaw and Percy Thompson of Dryden; and two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Kaiser of 
Alpena and Mrs. Aleta Keeler of Vestaburg.

Funeral services were held at Neller Funeral Home, Portland, on Friday, March 
24, at 1:30 with Rev. Maurice Christensen of the Portland Baptist Church 
officiating.

Burial will be  in Danby Cemetery.
