Albert J. Hartzke, 84, of Lake Odessa died Tuesday afternoon at Grand Rapids
Osteopathic hospital where he had been a patient since August 1.  Born May 2,
1889, in Saginaw, he was the son of John and Emelia Kurzbals Hartzke and moved
to Lansing in 1925.  He was a retired employee of Oldsmobile of Lansing and
veteran of World War I.  In 1966 he moved to Lake Odessa.

Surviving are his wife, the former Ida M. Klingman; step-son, Everett Watts of
Sun City, Ariz.; step grandson and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Pickens-Koops funeral chapel
in Lake Odessa.  Rev. Charles Dunbar will officiate and interment will be at
Lakeside cemetery.
