Ionia Standard, 21 Oct 1879

A little four-year old daughter of Mr. Lyman Harwood of Berlin township met with 
a sad and fatal accident on the 24th ult.  The little unfortunate was engaged in 
play, and in running past a pail full of hot water made a mistake and sat down in 
it.  She lingered until 10 o’clock the following evening when death put an end to 
her terrible suffering.
