The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, March, 2000

Mrs. Kathryn L. Harwood, 91, of Ionia, passed away Monday, March 27, 2000 at 
her home.  She was born in 1908 in Saranac.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton “Bill” Harwood.  Surviving 
are her daughters, Camma Harwood of Flushing, Kara (John) Villarreal of 
DeWitt, and Joy Hood (David Vredevoogd) of Byron Center; granddaughters, 
Shawna and Angela Hood, both of Grand Rapids; sister-in-law, Donelda Jones; 
nephew, Philip (Janet) Jones; and special friend and care giver, Lisa Falsetta.

Mrs. Harwood was active in the Auxiliary guilds of the Ionia County Memorial 
Hospital.

According to Mrs. Harwood’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial 
service will be held at 12 noon Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Ionia, 
116 W. Main St., with the Rev. James Bennett officiating.  For those wishing, 
memorial contributions may be made to the Ionia County Memorial Hospital.
