The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Monday, December 2, 1912

Lyman Harwood died at 4:50 this morning at his home, 538 West Main street.  
Mr. Harwood was an old resident of Ionia county, having been born in Berlin 
township Dec. 10, 1843.  He lived there until the spring of 1911 when he moved 
into the city buying the Wm. Wing house.  He was the son of Isaac Harwood.  He 
was married March 29, 1858 to Carilla Loveland, daughter of Levi Loveland, and 
she survives him.  He also leaves four children: Leavitt, Mrs. Eugene Hackett 
of Berlin, Miss Loretta of Ionia and J. I. Harwood of Grand Rapids.  The 
funeral will be held from the house Wednesday at one o’clock.
