Daily Sentinel-Standard - Thursday, Aug. 3, 1961

Mrs. Lovisa E. Harwood, 83, died Thursday at Ionia County Memorial hospital.

She was born October 19, 1877 in Orange township, the daughter of Henry and 
Corinthia Pierce. She had resided in Ionia since 1947.

In 1897 she was married to Guy Harwood who preceded her in death April 3, 1960.

Mrs. Harwood was affiliated with the First Christian church and was a member of 
Mrs. Preston class since 1947.

She is survived by a son, Leo of Lansing; six grandchildren and 22 great-
grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at Myers funeral home Saturday at 2 p.m. with interment 
at Oak Hill cemetery. The Rev. Floyd Emshwiller sill officiate.
