   IONIA SENTINEL-STANDARD, MI, Thursday, November 20, 1969, page 2:  "Deaths -
AMY D. HARWOOD - A lifelong resident of Berlin township, Mrs Amy D. Harwood, 88,
died Wednesday afternoon in Ingham Medical hospital in Lansing.  She had been
recently making her home at 6813 South Washington, Lansing.
   Born April 8, 1881, in Berlin township, she was the daughter of Jerome and
Eunice Simmons Bennett.  In 1907 she was married to Leavitt Harwood, who died in
1945.  She attended LeValley United Methodist church.
   She leaves two sons, Edgar and Paul both of Ionia; two daughters, Mrs Ronald
Kuhtz of Ionia and Mrs Elsie Day of Lansing; 13 grandchildren and nine great
grandchildren.
   Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 pm at Myers funeral home.  Rev Lowell
Young will officiate and interment will be at Balcom cemetery."

   IONIA SENTINEL-STANDARD, MI, Monday, 11-24-1969, page 2:  "DEATHS - AMY D.
HARWOOD - Rev. Lowell Young of First Baptist church officiated at funeral
services Saturday for Amy D. Harwood, who died Wednesday.  Interment was at
Balcom cemetery.
   Bearers were Thomas Hall, Keith Harwood, LeRoy White, Donald Foster, Ross
Haverstick and David Ayers."
