The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, March 15, 1937
Mrs. Esther A. Harwood, 78, died at her home in Saranac, March 13.  She was 
born in Lowell July 5, 1858, a daughter of William and Ruth Adgate Johnson.  
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Cora Palmer, Mrs. Margery Whiters and 
Mrs. Edna Blakeslee, all of Lansing, and Mrs. Leliah Day of Ionia.  She was a 
member of the Saranac Methodist church.  Funeral services will be held at the 
home Tuesday, March 16 at 2 o’clock with Rev. Frank Loomis officiating.  
burial will be at the Saranac cemetery.
