Isaac Harwood of Berlin, Passes to the Life Beyond. Isaac Harwood, of Berlin, died Saturday evening, of consumption of the bowels, at the age of 74. The funeral was held at the family residence, at 12:30 to-day; interment in Balcom's cemetery. Deceased was a son of Luke Harwood, who came to Oakland county in 1832, and settled in Berlin in 1836, when Isaac was 15 years of age. He married Miss Sarah Eddy, daughter of Abram Eddy, Dec. 8, 1842. He bought a place in Orleans, where he lived for a time, but subsequently returned to Berlin. Ten children were born to them, six of whom are now living; Lyman L., Mrs. Amon Otis, Riley, Mrs. E. Coe, Mrs. Chester Adgate and Abram, the last name loving near Grand Rapids, the others in Ionia county. Mr. Harwood was a life-long Democrat; he has filled different local offices with credit.
