Mr. Haskin died at the Veterans Facility Hospital in St. Cloud. Floyd Haskin was born April 21, 1876 on the old Haskin homestead, three- quarters of a mile north of Woods Corners, the son of Frank and Ceresta Haskin. He was the youngest of five children and his two brothers, Charles and Byron, and two sisters, Mrs. Dan H. King and Mrs. Fred (Mary) Peabody, preceded him in death. He was a member of the Roosevelt Rough Riders and a retired railway engineer. His wife is the former Ella Roberts of Bushnell township, Montcalm county. Besides his wife he has four sons, Bruce, Allen, Robert and Kenneth, who all live in St. Paul, Minn. Relatives in this area are nephews, Ernest Peabody of Ionia, Stanley Haskin of Orleans, and Allen Haskin of Lake Odessa; a niece, Mrs. Jay Martin of Ionia Route 1; and four cousins, Mrs. Bertha Thayer and Mrs. Ernest Leach of Ionia and Roland and Rob Pierson of Ionia Route 3. Mr. Haskin last visited Ionia in 1945. He will be buried in an Indiana cemetery.
