Ionia Sentinel Standard, 2 Sep 1944

Mrs. Mary Baird Haskins, 67, a lifelong resident of Boston township, died
Saturday morning at 8:00 o’clock at her home following a short illness.  She was
born January 25, 1874, in Boston township, and was the daughter of Dodds and
Sarah Baird, pioneer residents.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Margret Toles; three sons, Lee, Ernest and
Harol, all living on the same farm; nine grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Homer
Thornton and Mrs. Bert Carey, both of Grand Rapids, and two brothers, Elvert
Baird of Lowell and James Baird of Boston township.

The body will repose at the farm home until time for services Tuesday afternoon
at 2:00 o’clock at the Morris funeral home, Saranac.  Rev. Paul Voelker of Grand
Rapids will officiate, and burial will be in the Saranac cemetery.
