Lake Odessa Wave - December 28, 1983
          LLOYD J. HASKINS
   LAKE ODESSA - Lloyd J. Haskins, 91, of Lake Odessa died Dec. 26, 1983 at the
Ionia County Memorial 
Hospital.
   He was born Nov. 26, 1892 in Lake Odessa the son of Allie and Eliza (McRoberts)
Hastings.
   He married Alice Shupp Dec. 30, 1916.  She preceded him in death March 8, 1974.
   He farmed in the Lake Odessa area for several years and retired from the Lake
Odessa Canning Co.  He also 
worked at the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel.
   He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Joyce) Wait of Alto and Mrs.
William (Mary Jean) French of 
Lake Odessa; one son, Gerald Haskins of Lake Odessa; 10 grandchildren and nine
great-grandchildren; two 
sisters-in-law, Edna Winey and Pearl Carter - both of Lake Odessa; several nieces
and nephew.
   One son, Willard, preceded him in death in 1956.
   Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Pickens-Koops Funeral
Chapel in Lake Odessa, with 
Rev. George Speas officiating.
   Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
