Arizona Republic Thursday November 12, 1987

Levi E. Haskins, 89, of Phoenix, a retired Captain of fire department Center. he 
was born in Ionia, Mich., and was a World War I and World War II Army veteran. 

Survivors include his wife, Vivian; daughter, Margarette Manley son, Joseph; 
stepsons, Ivan Nelson, Melvin Nelson and Robert Nelson; 16 grandchildren; 27 
great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. 

Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at First Christian Church, 6750 N. 
Seventh Ave.. Memorial contributions may be made tot he Christian Youth Camp. 
5727 N. Seventh St., Suite 208, Phoenix 85014. Hansen Mortuary made 
arrangements.
