Funeral services were held at the residence in Orange Tuesday afternoon. Burial was made in Portland cemetery. Mr. Haas was born in Germany and came to this country when a young man. Eighteen years ago he settled on a farm in Orange township, near the Coleman church. For the past two years he had been in poor health and on Monday of last week he was taken to the hospital for treatment. Besides the widow he is survived by two sons and one daughter. They are George, of Sunfield; Will, of Ionia, and Mrs. Loyal McIntyre, of Portland. Jacob Haas, a brother, resides in Ionia, and Mrs. Lou Gerhart, a sister, in Chicago.
