The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Friday, February 8, 1963


Mrs. Ida Hass, 82, of Tawas City, former resident of Ionia, died Thursday 
morning at Tawas City hospital.  She had resided at Tawas City the past 20 
years but prior to that had spent all her life in Ionia.  She was the widow of 
Richard Hass who died in 1928, and was a former member of St. Johns Lutheran 
church.

Survivors include a daughter, Lenora Hass of Tawas City; one son, Arthur Hass 
of East Lansing; two grandchildren; a brother, William Hass of Owosso; and two 
sisters, Mrs. Bertha Kurth of Cochrane, Wis., and Mrs. Anna Rubach of Ionia.

Funeral service will be Sunday afternoon at Moffatt funeral home at Tawas City 
with interment at Highland Park mausoleum in Ionia at 2 o’clock Monday 
afternoon.
