The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, June 3, 1930

The funeral services for Mrs. Ernestine Hass, widow of Fred Hass, who died 
Monday afternoon, will be held from the home, 418 Allen street, Thursday 
afternoon at 1:30 and at the German Lutheran church at 2 o’clock.  Interment 
will be made in the Highland Park cemetery.

Mrs. Hass was one of the older pioneers of the Lutheran settlement and had 
devoted one-half a century to the interests of the Lutheran church, having 
been present at the dedication.

Besides her children, she leaves 13 grandchildren and eight great-
grandchildren.
