Funeral services were held at the home Monday, conducted by Rev. Frank Hatch of Muskegon, a nephew. Burial in South Boston cemetery. Helen M. White was born April 8, 1829, at Tunbridge, Vermont. When seven years of age she moved with her parents Timothy and Roxinda White to Kalamazoo, Mich., and one year later they came to Ionia county. January 18, 1853, she was married to Adison Hatch and five years later they went to their present farm home where they have lived for fifty-three years. Two children were born to them, one of whom Frank N., died in infancy and James W., with whom they have always lived. Mrs. Hatch was the second of six children two of whom with the aged husband, one son, three grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends are left to mourn. She was a beloved wife and kind mother always having a kind word for everyone. The following relatives from abroad were in attendance at the funeral: Mrs. J. C. West, Mr. and Mrs. Bert West, Mrs. Bessie Patengill, Mrs. Carrie Hatch, Henry Mitchell and George Sherman of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Lottie Elkins of Rockford and Mrs. Ada Luther of Lamont.
