He was born in Monroe county, Ashtabula county, Ohio, and at the age of 16 came to South Boston 56 years ago, justly entitling him to a place among the honored pioneers. He was a brother of Addison Hatch of South Boston, of the late William Hatch and of John Hatch, and Mrs. A. Sherman of this place. He leaves a wife, daughter and one son to mourn his loss.
