He was born in Kane Creek, Ky, December 19, 1889 and had lived at route 3, Belding the past 21 years. October 4, 1919 he was married to Laura Foster. He was a World War I veteran serving overseas and member of Belding Hugo Fales American Legion post. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Frank Nelson and Mrs. Robert Bodman of Ionia, Mrs. Walter Johnston of Saranac, Mrs. Eugene Byrne of Belding, three sons, Cleo of Belding, Carl and Lester of Marne; 25 grandchildren; two brothers, Andrew of Harlan, Ky and Lewis of Jellico, Tenn. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Huffman funeral home in Belding with Rev. Ross Tracy and Hugo Fales Legion post officiating. Burial will be in Greene cemetery.
