The Ionia Standard, Thursday, June 15, 1876

Mrs. R. C. Hathaway died very suddenly last Thursday morning, about 10 
o’clock.  She had been ill but was convalescent, and thought to be out of all 
danger, but at the time mentioned became worse and died with in a few 
minutes.  Mrs. H. was a lady whose friends included all who knew her, and her 
death is sincerely mourned.
