The Ionia Daily Standard, Friday, November 15, 1918
Mrs. Sarah A. Hathaway, widow of the late Dr. Joseph M. Hathaway, died on 
Thursday afternoon at 3:30.  Mrs. Hathaway was one of the well-known women of 
this county, where she was born in 1843, and where she had always lived.  She 
leaves a daughter, Mrs. R. L. Taylor of Grand Rapids, and a son, Dr. Claude E. 
Hathaway of this city.  The funeral service will be attended on Saturday at 
the Church of Christ, Rev. Buckner having charge of the services.  Friends may 
view the remains between ten and twelve tomorrow morning.
