HUGH F. HATT PASSES AWAY
    Hugh F. Hatt 67, retired truck driver and former local resident, passed away at
the home of a sister-in-law 
Mrs. Hazel Hatt at McBain, Friday forenoon, after a long illness.
   A native of Newaygo, his parents were William and Ella Hatt.
   Surviving are his wife Isabell, six sons, Herbert and Leo of Ionia, Lawrence of
New Carlisle Oho, Viverne and 
Elsworth of Fllnt, and Leroy of Seattle, Wash.; two daughters. Mrs. Gerald (Marsha)
Clayton of Grand Rapids 
and Mrs. Iris Stevens of Texas; 21 grandchildren; a sister Mrs. Erva Helmboldt of
McBain and three brothers 
Stanley and Blea of Flint, and Max of Marion.
   Funeral services were held Sunday, July 16th at the Pickens Funeral Chapel, Lake
Odessa with burial in 
Lakeside cemetery.
