Lyle Hattis, 74, of Orleans, passed away Friday morning, June 1, 2007 at 
Laurels of Kent in Lowell. Lyle was born on July 11, 1932 in Pewamo, the son of 
Raymond and Marjorie Davis Hattis.

He graduated from Pewamo High School and was the maintenance man for several 
years at the Belding Christian Nursing Home, now Metron of Belding. He enjoyed 
spending time fishing and hunting, collecting tools and had a real talent in 
being able to fix just about anything.  He will always be remembered and loved 
by his family and friends. 

Lyle is survived by his children; Michael Hattis of Long Lake, Tammy and Randy 
Lehman of Lake Odessa, Laurie Hattis of Greenville, Monty and Rebecca Hattis of 
Orleans, Tiann Myranda Hattis of Orleans and his better half of nearly 29 
years; Penny Woodhams of Orleans. Lyle is also survived by his grandchildren; 
Stephany, Anthony, Monica, Leah, Shaun, Truley and Samantha, his great 
grandchildren; Andy, Amanita, Riley, Autumn, Teegan and Ashley and his brothers 
and sisters; Larry J. and Jeanine Hattis of Maple Rapids, Carol and Eric Lau of 
Riverdale, Kenneth Hattis of Ionia and Kay and Dave McCarn of Ionia. He was 
preceded by his parents and one granddaughter Lacy.

Funeral services for Lyle will be 11 a.m. today at Shiloh Community Church with 
Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Private interment will be in East Plains 
Cemetery near Matherton.  Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Johnson-
 Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. Memorial contributions may be given to a 
charity of ones choice.
