Nov. 29, 2017 Excerpts from Obituary: HARRY E. HATTIS of Portland Died Wednesday November 15, 2017-age 91 Born January 14, 1926 to Harry and Margaret (Williams) Hattis. Harry was Veteran of WW II, he served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. Retired from T.R.W. in Portland. Was a lifelong member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, and the VFW in Portland. Was active in Boy Scouts, enjoyed woodworking, family vacations & free cell solitaire. Preceded in death by his wife, Marie of 38 years, and brother Reece. Survived by his 4 children, 19 grandchildren, wife Deloris of 25 years, & special friend Sylvia Smith. Memorial Mass will be Monday, November 20, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with Fr. Larry King presiding. Rite of Committal will be at Portland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hattis family, who will donate to 40 unsung heros, the compassionate caregivers at Brookdale Delta.
