Hattis, 63, died at her home in Pewamo Sunday afternoon following a long illness. She was born July 13, 1904 in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and came to Pewamo in 1919. July 17, 1924 she was married to Harry Hattis, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Harry Jr. of Portland and Reece of Westphalia; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Davis of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., Mrs. Wilson Evans of Peoria, Ill; two brothers, Charles and Thomas Williams of Wilkes-Barre, Pa. The body will be at Shaw-Rivett-Hull funeral home in Muir until noon Thursday when it will be taken to Pewamo Methodist church for services at 2 pm with Rev. Lester Bailey of First Methodist church in Ionia officiating. Burial will be in East Plains cemetery.
