J. F. Hatton, 73, former pastor and conference superintendent of the United Brethren Churches of this district, died at Mammoth, Wyoming. Rev. Hatton served as pastor at Hastings, Lake Odessa, Carlisle churches among his pastorates, and the Olivet EUB church in Grand Rapids from 1924-31. His wife died unexpectedly about a year ago, while they were en route from attending the Michigan conference, to their home in Florida where they resided after leaving Hastings. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Rusack of Detroit and Mr. Wanda Gardner of Dayton, Ohio; and a son, Dean, of Mansfield, Ohio.
