Hauck, 41, of 530 North Jefferson who died unexpectedly Monday morning at Blodgett Memorial hospital in Grand Rapids. He had submitted to extensive heart surgery in the past two months. Born January 30, 1922 and raised in Detroit, Mr. Hauck was graduated from Northwestern high school and was a member of United States Naval Civil Service workers during World War II, stationed in Hawaii. He was past master of F & AM 395 of Lake Odessa, and a charter member of the Ionia Kiwanis club. He was a member of Michigan Sheriff’s association and had been a member of Ionia sheriff’s staff since 1962. Survivors include his wife, Gertrude; a son, Charles, Jr., and a daughter, Carol; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hauck of Detroit; three sisters, Mrs. Vincent A. Zatell, Mrs. Charles Conant and Mrs. Edwin Marks of Detroit. Masonic service will be under the auspices of Lake Odessa lodge. Committal service will be held at 3 p.m. at White Chapel Memorial cemetery in Detroit with the Rev. Lawrence Showberg of St. Pauls American Lutheran church officiating. An educational memorial fund has been established and contributions will be accepted at Myers funeral home.
