September 8, 1977 JOHN HAUSERMAN PASSES AWAY John Hauserman, 88, of 1330 Johnson St., passed away at Pennock Hospital, Hastings, Friday afternoon, September 2. He had been hospitalized since August 7 following an extended illness. He was born in Odessa Township, July 30, 1889, the son of Karl and Wilhelmina (Holtzworth) Hauserman and was the last one living of the nine children of the family. A veteran of World War I and prior to his Army service he was a member of the State Police. A business man at one time in Saranac, he was in partnership with his nephew, the late Glenn D. Compton. He married Reva Majinska (Demaray) December 24, 1940 at the Congregational Church at Lake Odessa and had been a local area resident for many years. Surviving are his wife; a stepdaughter, Mrs Rose Marie Johnson of Lake Odessa; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services ere held Tuesday at one o'clock at the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel. Rev. Gary Evans officiated with burial in Lakeside cemetery.
