He was born Sept. 29, 1904 in Otisco Township, the son of Frederick and Catherine Schultz Hausman. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council 944 of Ionia. Ted was a lifelong farmer and the oldest living member of his parish family. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters, Clara Metternick, Edith Hausman, Anna Krupp, Mary Patin, Lena Kloster; and two brothers, Frederick and Albert Hausman. Mass of Christian Burial will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Troy A. Nevins officiating. (Please meet at the church.) Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today with a scripture service at 8 p.m. at the Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary Church Window Fund or St. Joseph Second Century Fund.
