The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, November 2, 1954

Albert L. C. Hausserman, 64, of Route 4, Orange township, died Tuesday morning 
at 8 o’clock at the Ionia County Memorial Hospital where he had been admitted 
Monday evening following a heart attack.  He had been seriously injured August 
3, 1954, in an automobile accident on south US-66.

He was born December 27, 1889, in Berlin township, the son of Herman and Mary 
Hausserman, and had lived in Ionia county all of his life and operated a farm 
in Orange township all his married life.  He was married May 8, 1912, to Emma 
Miller, who preceded him in death March 16, 1933.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Edward Ruehs, of Ionia, with whom he made his 
home since the accident; two sons, Leonard and Herman, of Orange township one 
sister, Mrs. Erwin Redemsky, of Ionia; one brother, Paul Hausserman, of 
Berlin; and four grandchildren.

The body reposes at the family home in Orange until Thursday noon when it will 
be taken to St. John’s Lutheran church where services will be held at 2 p.m. 
with the Rev. Eric Cash officiating.  Interment will be in the family lot at 
Balcom cemetery.
