He was highly respected and an active member of Carr Wesleyan Methodist church. The community looses a valuable member and Heaven has one more inducement for his friends. The funeral was held Sunday at the Carr church the pastor preached and Mr. and Mrs. George Goodemoot sang. Burial was at Lakeside. --------- OBITUARY John B. Hausserman was born March 14, 1852 at Rittenberg, Germany, and died February 24, 1921 at his farm home in Odessa at the age of 68 years, 11 months, and 10 days. When he was 5 years of age he came with his mother to America and has lived the greater part of the time since in Ionia county. March 13, 1879 he was married to Sarah Koutz, to this union were born two sons, George W. of Orange, and Clarence A. at home. About 34 years ago he was converted and has lived a constant christian life since that time and died strong in the faith, saying during his sickness that he was going home to be with Jesus. Besides the wife and children he leaves three grandchildren, a sister, and four brothers, with a large circle of other relatives and friends to mourn his departure yet feeling their loss is his gain. --------- Our home is sad without him, For him we mourn to-day; But still we know he's resting, In a better land not far away.
