William D. “Duner” Hausserman, age 55, of Ionia passed away on Monday, 
February 20, 2006. He was born on June 28, 1950 in Ionia, MI the son of 
Gaylord and Velma (Shipper) Hausserman. William enjoyed truck driving, 
watching auto racing, and especially enjoyed being with family and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Gaylord. Surviving are his daughter, 
Sarah (Cory) McDiarmid of Lake Odessa; grandchildren, Tyson McDiarmid and 
Sabrina Nagy; mother, Velma Hausserman of Ionia; sisters, Gaye (Bruce) Stedman 
of Ionia, Linda Banker of Ionia, Laurie (Tom) McPherson of Ionia and Anne 
(Jeff) Hoekstra of Rockford; brothers, David (Elizabeth) Hausserman of Ionia, 
Phil (Adel) Hausserman of Muir, Jack (Carol) Hausserman of Ionia, Jim (Nancy) 
Hausserman of Ohio, Steve (Patty) Hausserman of Saranac and Doug (Sandy) 
Hausserman of Orleans; former wife, Barb Hausserman of Ionia; many nieces and 
nephews. 

The Funeral Service will be conducted by the Rev. David Bogda, Pastor of St. 
John's Lutheran Church, Ionia at 1 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2006 at the 
Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich Street, Ionia. Interment will take 
place at Balcom Cemetery, Ionia. The family will receive friends at the 
funeral home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.
