The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, October 2, 2007


Jean Elizabeth Hausserman, age 81, of Ionia, passed away Sept. 28, 2007. She 
was born Oct. 20, 1925 in Portland, Mich. the daughter of Albert and Maude 
(Hopkins) Scheurer. Jean married Leonard Hausserman 1947 in Ionia who preceded 
her in death Oct. 1, 1999.  She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in 
Ionia and was a waitress for 25 years at the Scalehouse Restaurant.

She is survived by her sons, Ron Hausserman and Cheryl of Clarksville, Dennis 
and Debrann Hausserman of Ionia; daughters, Linda and Steve Thompson of 
Lowell, Connie and Jim Minster of Traverse City; brother, Al and Bernita 
Scheurer of Portland; grandchildren, Cass Hausserman, Stephani Thompson, Cort 
Thompson, Travis Kruger and Tami and Mark McCoy; great-grandchildren, Mathew 
McCoy and Harleigh Kruger.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday 11 a.m. at the St. John's Lutheran 
Church in Ionia. Visitation will be on Wednesday 4 to 7 p.m. at the Lake 
Funeral Home in Ionia.  Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions to 
Ionia Area Hospice, American Diabetes or St. John's Lutheran Church.
