Frances Louise Hauter, age 82, of Saranac, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2006, 
in Spring Lake, MI.  She was born January 19, 1924, to Floyd and Clara B. 
(Geiger) Chadwick in Chicago, IL; and she married Harold Hauter on march 29, 
1946 in Saranac at Saranac Community Church. He preceded her in death in 
January 1989.

Mrs. Hauter had been a Saranac resident most of her life. She worked for 
Berger Motors in Ionia for 25 years; and previously worked as a teller for 
First Security Bank in Saranac for 7 years.  Mrs. Hauter attended Saranac 
Community Church and was a member of the American Legion Post #175 Auxiliary 
in Saranac. She loved to play cards, especially Euchre; and she loved spending 
time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her one son, Craig (Lorinda) Hauter of Spring Lake; 3 
grandchildren, Jim Hauter of Grand Haven; William "Bill" (Mary) Hauter of 
Wyoming, MI; Jeff Hauter of Muskegon; her brother Raymond Chadwick of Saranac; 
nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, 
Warren Chadwick.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Saranac Community Church. 
Interment will be in Saranac Cemetery. Memorials to Hospice of North Ottawa 
Community, 1515 S. DeSpelder St., Grand Haven, MI 49417, are appreciated.
