Ionia Daily Standard, 13 Dec 1901

The funeral of James W. Hauxhurst was held at Wm. H. Borden Post room at 2:30 on
Thursday afternoon, with a prayer service at the house.  Rev. D.A. Jewell
officiated.  Pall bearers were M.L. Pike, Marvin Guernsey, A.J. Cook, E.S.
Shattuck, F. Kanouse and W.J. Just.  Color bearers, N.L. Brookins and W.S.
Sanderson.  Burial on Post lot in Oak Hill cemetery.  Music was furnished by
Mrs. Ed. Merriett at the organ, Mr. and Mrs. S.G. Allured, Mrs. Perkins and W.S.
Sanderson.  A flower piece was furnished by the W.R.C.
