Haviland, 79, former long time resident of Belding, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carl Brakeman in Detroit, were held at the Fales Funeral home, Tuesday afternoon. Rev. H. S. Ellis officiating, and burial was in River Ridge cemetery. Mrs. Haviland was born in Wisconsin, March 27, 1860, and came with her former husband, Michael Y. Gephart, to Belding in July, 1898, where they resided until Mr. Gephart's death, in 1920, after which she moved to Detroit for a time. She went to Grand Rapids soon returning to Detroit, where she was at the time of her death. She was a member of the Lady Maccabees and of the Social Circle of the Belding Congregational church. Survivors are: Rudolphus Gephart of Lansing, Mrs. Carl (Aurala Brakeman of Detroit, and Lawrence Gephart of Alto. Pall bearers were: Glen G. Brown, Al Wells, Vern Brown, Ray Waldo, William Wood and Arthur James. Additional Comments: Funeral: Tuesday, 28 November 1939 Riverridge cemetery Sec. 2 #29 b.
