Hawley, 48, died at his home in Easton township Sunday morning at 10 o’clock following several months of illness of heart trouble. He was born at Gladwin March 18, 1886, and he had continued to reside there until 20 years ago, when he and Mrs. Hawley moved to Easton township. Surviving are his wife; nine children, Lloyd, of Lake Odessa; Mrs. Viva Shepherd, of Freeport; Mrs. Leola Curtis, Easton township; Melvin, Virgil, William, Violet and Edwin, at home; his father, Leander Hawley, of Gladwin; four brothers, Wesley, Bert, Roy and Earl, all of Gladwin; four sisters, Mrs. Clara Roberts, of Gladwin; Mrs. Edna Maxwell, of Edenville; Mrs. Lillian DeReamer, of Pontiac, and Mrs. Mattie Arnot, of Bay City, and one granddaughter. Funeral services will be conducted from the Easton church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock.
