Mrs. Hawley had been in failing health for the past three years but she had been seriously ill the past month. She was born in Ronald township, October 2, 1856, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Orlando Warner. Mr. Warner was an early pioneer to Ionia county coming here from the east with a team of oxen. When she was only a few years old she moved with her parents to Lyons where she continued to reside most of her life. She was married in 1875 to William Hawley, also of Lyons and with the exception of a few winters that they spent at their home in Ionia, they had always lived in Lyons. Mrs. Hawley had been active socially until three years ago when her health began to fail. She was a member of the Lyons chapter of the Eastern Star, a member of the Ionia Presbyterian church and a member of the Good Will club also of Ionia. She is survived by her husband, William C. Hawley; one daughter, Mrs. F. M. March, of Ionia; one sister, Mrs. Susie Lung, of Lyons, and one granddaughter, Miss Helen Marsh, Ionia. Funeral services will be held from the home of her daughter, Mrs. F. M. Marsh, 251 East Washington street, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30. Rev. H. A. Simpson, of the Presbyterian church will officiate and interment will be at the Highland Park mausoleum.
