Hawley, life resident of Ionia county, died Sunday morning at 7 o’clock at his home in Saranac following a long period of illness. Mr. Hawley was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Hawley, and was born in Keene township in 1856. His life has mostly been spent on a farm and caring for horses. Mrs. Hawley died about four years ago. Surviving are one son, Marion, at home; one daughter, Mrs. Vercha Covert, of Detroit; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Rich and Mrs. Amy Hagadorn, of Belding; two grandchildren, and a half-brother, Elmer Hawley. Since the death of Mrs. Hawley, Mrs. Rich has been caring for her father. Funeral services will be held from the home in Saranac, Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock with Rev. A. B. Parsons, officiating. Burial in the family lot at the Saranac cemetery.
