Ionia Sentinel – 27 March 1967
Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Hawley were Saturday at 1:30 pm with Dr. 
Howard Smith officiating, assisted by Rev. Lester Bailey.  Bearers were 
Willard Hawley, D. Hale Brake, Harry Gemuend, Albert Hafner, Thomas Garchow, 
Morris Garchow, Russell Croel and Clarence Koster.  Burial was in Highland 
Park Cemetery.

Attending from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Morris Garchow, Thomas Garchow, 
Mr. and Mrs. Hector Wilson and Wayne Wiltse of Detroit; Mrs. Edith Spaulding, 
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hess and Mr. and Mrs. William Grinnell of midland; Bruce 
Croskery of Belding; Mrs. Ellen Nelson, Lester Nelson, Mrs. Jessie Baker and 
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hafner of Lansing; Hugh Foster of Mason; Mrs. Grace Taylor 
of Saranac; Mrs. Cleo Chickering of Belding; Mrs. Wreatha Johnson of Lake 
Odessa; Hollis Powell of Wyandotte; D. Hale Brake and Homer Miel of Stanton; 
Clarence Koster of Grand Rapids; Mrs. Daisy Chickering of Orleans; Mrs. Maude 
Howe and Edward Howe of Belding; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Lind of Lowell; Raymond 
Croel, William Croel and Mrs. And Mrs. Phillip Croel of Lansing; Prof. And 
Mrs. Chuan Wei of East Lansing; Dr. and Mrs. Howard Smith of Traverse City.
