Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 22 Jan 1937

Gilbert P. Hawley, 76 died suddenly about 12:00 noon Friday at the home of his
daughter, Mrs. Roy Edlin, of Easton township. 

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 at the Stebbins funeral home and
Ionia with a prayer service, and at the Methodist church in Saranac, at 2:30
o’clock.  Burial at Easton cemetery.

Mr. Hawley is survived by seven children, Fred B. of Orleans, Royal I. of Keene,
Mrs. Blanche Weber and Willard G. of Ionia, Mrs. Roy Edlin of Easton, and Mrs.
Bernice Grove of Lyons; two brothers, Judge R. A. Hawley of Ionia, and Ed. of
Montana, and one sister, Mrs. Grace Murphy of Lyons.

Mrs. Hawley’s death occurred October 25 at the home in Saranac where they have
resided for the past 14 years.
