William Hawley drove to Lowell yesterday morning from his home in Keene to do some trading and while in a store remarked that he did not feel well. He shortly went to the home of a friend near by and asked the privilege of laying down for a little while. He had barely reached the bed when he gasped a few times and was dead. Mr. Hawley was 74 years of age and was one of the oldest citizens of Keene township coming to Keene in an early day. He leaves a family including one son in Lowell and another in Saranac.
